We are also happy to offer a comprehensive electrical service although changing a bulb is not really what this is for! The work we carry out is aimed at fault diagnosis (major ones again not bulbs!) and complete rewires.

Wiring looms

We are just set to launch an exclusive range of wiring looms; each loom offered has been personally fitted to the machine in question. It is checked for correct fitment, coming with full fitting instructions and an accurate wiring diagram. Special looms covering non-standard bikes from 12-volt conversions, electronic ignition, custom bikes and authentic pre-war rubber cable can be dealt with. Looms are offered with a range of finishes from tapped, PVC sleeve or authentic cotton braided.

Electronic Ignition

Hawker Electrical has recently taken on The Pazon ignition range of products. After extensive testing we are able to fully endorse the ignition system they offer. It has traditionally not been a viable proposition to fit electronic ignition to a dynamo machine, as the power requirements have been too great.

With the new Pazon system it is now possible to have a battery electronic ignition. An old favourite has been our own magneto replacement pod, which is available to fit in place of the old flange, mounted Magneto. We have this system available for all British twins, single and v-twins (Vincent’s). We can also supply all drive gears – twin output and standard.HT coils.

Replica Miller Regulator Case

As fitted to the Velocette and Vincent range, the Miller Dynamo had its own regulator often fitted on top of the Dynamo. This original unit often proved troublesome. However we have overcome this problem with our electronic regulator, the cartridge case is now available, made with a stainless steel base it is an excellent part accurate in both looks and dimensions.

Sunbeam Alternator Conversion

This Upgrade kit has been especially designed to retain a close resemblance to the original Dynamo whilst giving a dramatic increase in performance - with 120 or 180 watt.options available. This kit is especially useful as the Sunbeams run with coil ignition. It allows the reliable conversion to 12 volts and a subsequent upgrade of lighting power.

The kit comes complete with high quality CNC machined housing, Alternator, HT coil, 12volt regulator and a full set of fitting instructions. If you would like it fitted, we would be happy to do so although the unit is very easy to fit and many of our previous customers have been so impressed they have offered to endorse the kit - you can’t get a better advert than that!
